Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Liberty Shipping Company. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Scope of Services
Liberty Shipping Company ("the Company") provides freight forwarding, logistics, warehousing, and related services. The specific services provided will be detailed in the individual contract or booking confirmation.
2. Customer Obligations
The customer agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding the cargo, including weight, dimensions, contents, and value. The customer is responsible for ensuring that all goods are properly packed, labeled, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the origin, transit, and destination countries.
3. Prohibited Cargo
The Company will not accept for transport any hazardous, illegal, or prohibited items unless prior written consent has been granted and all legal requirements have been met. The customer is liable for any damages or fines resulting from the shipment of prohibited items.
4. Liability and Insurance
The Company's liability for loss or damage to cargo is limited according to standard international conventions (e.g., Hague-Visby Rules, Montreal Convention) and our standard terms of carriage. We strongly advise customers to purchase comprehensive cargo insurance to protect the full value of their goods.
5. Payment Terms
Invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Company reserves the right to withhold delivery or exercise a lien on the cargo for any unpaid charges.
6. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company's principal office is located.
